We're supposed to say I'm sorry for your loss, but I think what we mean to say is I'm sorry for your pain. The pain you felt in navigating a complicated relationship and the pain you'll feel navigating those emotions without the physical body of the person that relationship was complicated with present. I lost my father in March and although I've lost him multiple times before, the permanance of this time is something I struggle with daily. Things can get very lonely in these times, when that happens, just know you're supported and loved by people you don't know around the world.
